Executive Board

Position 1: Treasurer
Liaison for Concessions, Party Planners, Sponsorships

  • Bookkeeper
  • Payroll
  • Sponsors (Work with Position 1)
  • Team Party/Medals (Work with Position 3)
  • At Meet: Pay lifeguards, concessions

Position 2: Athletics
Liaison for Coaching Staff, Judges, Referee/Starter, Head Timer

  • Ensure practices are fully staffed (coaches/senior swimmers)
  • Ensure meets and time trials are fully staffed (volunteers)
  • Ensure participation of athletes to his/her fullest potential
  • At Meet: “On-Deck” volunteer coordinator (Work with Position 5); oversee Referee, Judges, Starter, Timers to ensure smooth operation of meet

Position 3: Equipment & Ready Bench
Liaison for WHALe, Ready Bench Captains

  • League Representative for Green Trails Gators with WHALe (with Position 4); includes communicating with visiting team prior to home meets
  • Equipment manager (i.e., suits, kickboards, lane ropes)
  • Record Keeping
  • Oversee Ready Bench at all levels
  • Act as Board-level contact for 5/6s and 7/8s (“Gator Guppies”)
  • At Meet: Oversee Check-In Table and Ready Bench Captains, assist 5/6s in lining up for relays

Position 4: Communications
Liaison for Green Trails HOA, A-Beautiful Pools, Spirit Wear, Pictures, Calendar, Website

  • HOA Representative
  • League Representative (with Position 3); includes communicating with visiting team prior to home meets
  • Develop Calendar
  • Develop/maintain on-line registration system
  • Team communications
  • Newsletter
  • Sponsorship Banner
  • Spirit Wear (t-shirts, hats, etc.)
  • At Meet: Oversee Check-in Table and Ready Bench Captains

Position 5: Volunteers
Liaison for Lead Volunteer Coordinator, Scoring, Ribbons, Set-up/Clean-up, Data Entry

  • General oversight of volunteers during competition season
  • Work with Lead Volunteers to ensure positions fully staffed
  • Attendance cards – organize attendance cards re: Mayde Creek system (replaces highlight sheet)
  • At Meet: “Off Deck” volunteer coordinator (work with Position 1); oversee Scoring, Ribbons, Runners, Sorter (keeps timing sheets in place), Set-Up, Clean-Up, Parking Attendant
